The Hunger Project – Canada

The Hunger Project is a global movement of people committed to the sustainable end of hunger in the world through working in partnership to empower women and men to become self-reliant and lead healthy and productive lives with dignity and in harmony with nature. The Hunger Project – Canada is a national chapter of the global organization.

Canlight has partnered with The Hunger Project Canada because of the vision of empowering people to end their own hunger.  The Hunger Project (THP) does not interact with people in a top-down fashion, but rather meets them on an even playing field where both sides are shown to have great value.  Those who take part in THP’s programs are given tools, skills, and above all, confidence to claim what is rightfully theirs.  Nothing more, nothing less.  There is a particular lean toward empowering women in parts of the world where they have, until recently, been seen and not heard.

Canlight is committed to providing support in the form of administrative assistance, promotions, marketing, and more to The Hunger Project Canada.  More information can be found on their website.
